April Maey & The Junes

April Maey, from Ghent with Nigerian roots, launched her debut EP 'Ticket to Anywhere' in March 2020.

Her music is deeply rooted in Alternative Rhythm and Blues.  R&B is the channel of choice for April Maey to tell authentic stories and to express her emotions. She navigates the musical universe with a backpack full of melodies and lyrical stories.

Following the success of her feel-good summer single "Sweatshirt" (July '22), and her latest release, "Far Away" (Sept. '22), about a troubled love affair and produced by Grammy-nominated Nigerian producer Chopstix, she released her 5-track EP 'Airplane Mode' in December.

'Airplane Mode' is an alternative R&B and hip-hop project that clearly shows the evolution in style and themes. Combining smooth beats with soft vocals, the EP creates a soundscape that reflects the feeling of disconnection, but also the excitement of leaving everything behind.
