CARPA TRIO

Intimate, captivating, and highly imaginative instrumental music invites the audience to drift away into an imaginary world. Carpa Trio loves to swim in what does not yet exist, forging alliances with long-lost traditions from distant lands and crafting new plans with shadows and silhouettes.

This newly composed music by Shalan Alhamwy and Jonas De Rave seeks a dialogue between diverse traditions. Western classical music, Arabic and Turkish sounds, South American influences, and jazz flow seamlessly into one another. Improvisation remains an essential element throughout. The result is a warm, acoustic soundscape that sparks the imagination, evokes stories, and resonates fully in the here and now.
