Chaharshanbeh Suri (Persian: چهارشنبهسوری, Dutch: Tsjahārshanbe Soeri) translates to "Scarlet Wednesday" and is an ancient Persian fire festival that marks the arrival of Nowruz (Persian New Year).
On the evening before the last Wednesday of the year, families and friends gather to light bonfires, jump over the flames, and leave behind all negativity. With music, dance, and traditional delicacies, this enchanting celebration is a true festival of light and warmth.
Join us and experience the magic of Chaharshanbeh Suri – a ritual of hope, purification, and a fresh start!
With a special musical performance by Kourosh Ghazvine.
This Chaharshanbeh Suri program was created in close collaboration with Sohrab Jabbari.
