Emrah Karaca & MAKAS – A Unique Musical Encounter

Let yourself be taken on a musical journey that connects generations and cultures. In this special program, music, film and personal stories come together, centered around a concert by MAKAS together with Emrah Karaca, the son of the legendary Cem Karaca.

Cem Karaca is—along with Barış Manço, Erkin Koray and Moğollar—one of the true pioneers of Anatolian folk, pop and rock music. His son, Emrah Karaca, proudly continues that tradition. He performs worldwide, including with the iconic band Moğollar, and is coming to the Netherlands especially for this program to share the stage with MAKAS.

MAKAS was born from the dream of frontman Șahin, the son of Turkish migrants in the Netherlands. His mission: to bring together Anatolian rock, traditional Turkish folk music, and contemporary pop into one energetic sound. The result is a band full of stories, influences from Turkey and surrounding regions — and above all: a lot of musical power.
