Elektrik B'zar . electrified vibes with a global touch

Ghetto Kumbé . Caribbean Afro House from Colombia

Ghetto Kumbé, an Afro-futurist trio from Colombia's Caribbean coast, has evolved from a sound system to a prominent musical force. Their unique blend of West African rhythms and Afro-Colombian styles has garnered widespread acclaim.

Comprising El Guajiro, Chongo, and Doctor Keyta, Ghetto Kumbé blends traditional African rhythms with Caribbean electro beats. Their music, which also features collaborations with Ghanaian singers and European producers, creates an infectious dance machine, transcending borders and bridging continents through their compelling beats and message.

Inspired by global movements, their music addresses social issues and encourages activism. It combines traditional African and Caribbean motifs with electronic production, fostering a sense of community and change through music.

Renowned for their powerful live performances, Ghetto Kumbé has toured extensively in Europe, performing at major festivals. They've also made their mark in the alternative Colombian music scene and even shared the stage with Radiohead during the Soundhearts Tour.

Their music is a unique blend of traditional west African rhythms such as the lambam, soli, sofa, kassa, makru, among others, and afro-colombian rhythms such as cumbia, bullerengue, son palenquero, chande, and the chalupa de rio. Infusing powerful beats and bass to this already explosive combination, Edgardo Garces “El Guajiro” elegantly brings his electronic touch of class to the combo.
