GRUP ABDAL

Grup Abdal's breakthrough started in Turkey through social media. The group makes Turkish folk music, but stands out for its original combination of Western and Turkish acoustic instruments. Grup Abdal has conquered many musical hearts through its fine interpretations and idiosyncratic arrangements. You can call it sophisticated contemporary Turkish folk. Their first album, 'Abdal', was released in 2012, followed by a second album, 'Ozanca', in 2013.  Their third album, Revan, was released in 2019.

Grup Abdal are Burcu Sarak (vocals), Ali Ekber Kayış (guitars, mandolin & vocals), Kerem Kekeç (guitars) and Ersen Killik (percussion).
