Dear music lovers and friends of De Centrale

On Friday, January 17 at 7:00 pm, we would like to invite you to our traditional New Year's reception and concert by The Cypress Tree!

Under the old cypress tree, the wise Soroosh Gharahmanloo plucks his Setar. Next to him, his companion Thomas Noël lets loose a few grooves on his keyboard. Together, they reminisce about The Tehran Sessions, with which they conquered both living rooms and festival stages with a blend of Eastern sounds, Western swing, and a sharp view of the big city.

In a nearby garden, suddenly the vibe of a summer pool party fills the air. They recognize the sound: DJ Grazzhoppa is laying down the beats. The three men look at each other and nod: "Let’s head to the party together, let’s make this happen."

The result? Ultimate fusion! Soroosh feels at home both in progressive rock and traditional Persian music. Thomas effortlessly blends jazz, folk, rock, and blues. And since DJ Grazzhoppa has won one DJ competition after another, he’s constantly looking for ways to enrich his sound and hip-hop rhythms with additional musicians and bands. Together, they make a pact: a dynamic trio with a solid plan, but plenty of room for improvisation.

What could be better than this ultimate fusion to ring in the new music year at De Centrale?

Radyo Dolmuş & Gino Capuccino will close the evening with a special DJ set, creating an atmospheric finale.
