Bard, troubadour, griot: for as long as history has been recorded, wordsmiths across the globe have connected the stories of tradition with the ineffable divine and the forces of nature.
Griot Ablaye Cissoko, a world leader on the kora (West African double-harp), enters into dialogue with Ensemble Constantinople singer Kiya Tabassian on setar (Persian lute) and Canadian percussionist Patrick Graham.
Together, they journey from the Persian Empire to the Mandinka kingdom in West Africa, and all the way to the New World. Get ready for a fabulous musical journey.
