LATCHO BILO

Hungarian Romani music by Latcho Bilo. It brings together the best of both sides of the Hungarian music soul; the knowledge and the feeling; Magyar and Romani.  Amidst the violin's tumult, the piano's notes, the guitar's rattling, and the fluid dance between the deep double bass and the stately viola, resonates the fragile beauty of the free spirit of the Roma. This group, led by the 84-year-old violinist Adel Bilo, uniquely and characteristically brings this beautiful traditional music back to the stage, taking everyone back to a bygone era full of mystery and freedom.
