The 25 amateur singers of the choir 'Les Fatmas de Belgica' and of the singing studio Al-Karavan that was started in February in De Centrale, have united to let you hear excerpts from the Arab-Andalusian repertory of Morocco in an arrangement for four string instruments.

The Al-Karavan project travels between Brussels and Ghent and settles in De Centrale for a weekend. We present two exceptional musical productions, built around four musical styles. From January to June a series of meetings took place between on the one hand a choir and a classical quartet and on the other hand between eight singers and some musicians from the Belgian jazz and world music scene. The result is a festive double bill that pays tribute to the first generation of Moroccan migrants in Belgium. So come and enjoy the fruits of these fascinating encounters.
