LES VIOLONS DE BRUXELLES

The best strings from Belgian jazz

Bring together the best string artists from the Belgian jazz scene and you get Les de Bruxelles! The music of Django Reinhardt is celebrated worldwide, copied, revived and immortalized. From time to time, according to some, his legacy is also betrayed, but that's not what we're talking about here.

The most common way to follow in the footsteps of the master is to imitate (excusez le mot) the legendary Hot Club de France Quintet (violin, lead guitar, two rhythm guitars and double bass). Les Violons de Bruxelles – of course the name already suggests something – clearly adapt this traditional composition to their violin. No less than 3 violins color the musical interplay with the most exuberant polyphonic colours. In addition, with Tcha Limberger, the group has a more than exceptional soloist. The contrasting personalities of the three violinists unleash a multitude of styles and emotions on the audience. A more than fresh and original take on the classic gipsy swing.

Les Violons de Bruxelles are:

Tcha Limberger (violin, singing)
Renaud Crols (violin)
Alexandre Tripodi (viola)
Renaud Dardenne (guitar)
Sam Gerstmans (double bass)
