Music knows no boundaries, and Nana Osei-Twum Barima and Pieter De Wilde prove it with their unique blend of groove & soul, from Ghana to Ghent.
The young and talented Nana from Ghana plays the seperewa, a harp-lute with an enchanting sound. In his performances, he weaves the warm tones of the mbira (thumb piano) with a wide range of percussion instruments, from calabashes to Ghanaian rhythm boxes.
Pieter, drummer and guitarist for bands like No Prisoners and RKTKN, believes that groove is more important than technical perfection. His passion was born in an attic, where he discovered his love for drumming. Inspired by legends like Bernard Purdie, he is always in search of new rhythms.
