Pat Thomas is a globally recognized Ghanaian vocalist and songwriter famed for his work in the highlife bands of Ebo Taylor, the Uhuru Dance Band, and the Sweet Beans during the 1970s. Awarded 1978's "Golden Voice of Africa" Pat Thomas has issued more than a dozen solo recordings of his own since 1974. He had a string of hits in the 1980s with his distinctive Burger-Highlife sound. Pat Thomas remains active to this day. He records and tours extensively with Accra's Kwashibu Area Band since 2015; in fact, his first internationally released set with current material was 2015's Pat Thomas & Kwashibu Area Band on Strut Records. Their latest album "Obiaa!" was released in October 2019. 2020 saw prominent music festival appearances at Latitude, Lowlands, Rio Loco, Africa Hertme, among many others.
