With her powerful yet intimate voice, Ruken brings a fresh and authentic energy to the contemporary Kurdish music scene.

Born in Istanbul and rooted in the district of Eruh in the province of Siirt, Ruken began her musical journey as a singer-songwriter at an early age. After graduating in Music Education from Marmara University, she has gradually developed a distinctive and recognizable musical voice of her own.

By weaving deeply rooted musical traditions together with subtle modern influences, she creates a sonic world that feels both timeless and deeply personal, effortlessly drawing the listener in.

Her debut album Zelî (2016) received wide acclaim for its sincere and refined approach to Kurdish folk music. Following a series of singles and growing recognition, she released her second album Sê Çiya in 2022, further extending and deepening her artistic journey.
