THE THREAD OF ARIADNE | FT. ROSS DALY
FESTIVAL CREATION
In Greek mythology Ariadne helps her lover escape from the maze with the help of a wollen thread. For this concert the world famous lyra player Ross Daly takes young musicians from Belgium, Greece and Turkey and drags them along. Their course leaves from the rich Greek-Turkish tradition, with side roads to the Western, old music practices. The musicians of De Draad van Ariadne unravel their traditions into a musical dialogue. A unique festival project with numerous surprises lurking around the corner.
