Use Knife + Dj Set

Use Knife is a new musical outfit, in which Stef Heeren and Kwinten Mordijck unleash their mutual love for analog and modular electronic machinery and Saif Al-Qaissy invokes fierce Arabic percussion grooves and sermons vocal energies. Use Knife coincides Western underground music with traditional Arab music culture into a genuine melting pot of unique musical current. Their music is composed around propulsive electronic rhythms, ricocheting sequenced melodies and samples and vibrant Arabic drum rhythms. Use Knife collaborated with Radwan Ghazi Moumneh (Jerusalem in my Heart, Hotel2Tango) for the production of their debut full album The Shredding of Skin and with Youniss Ahamad for live visuals and scenography. 'The Shedding of Skin' was released on September 30, 2022 at Viernulvier records.

Kokonuts! Dj Set

Kokonuts! has been the alter ego of Jelle and Ole since 2020. Both gentlemen are avid collectors of vinyl from all over the world. Music that they love to share with an audience, both as Dj's and radio makers, but also as programmers for Kokopelli World Festival. A Kokonut! set is always a surprise attack on your dancing shoes. You discover music that you don't hear anywhere else. You will be sucked into a mix of African rhythms, Latin American grooves, tropical Global beats, Asian funk and sultry reggae. Both contemporary floor fillers and old school classics are placed in the record bins. A humorous note is never far away, call it Global Sounds Nuttiness. Topped off with some MC work in the typical sound system tradition, Kokonuts! guarantees a fierce party. They played at festivals such as Dranouter and Copacobana and also warmed up the audience for Jaune Toujours, Gaïsha, Al-Qasar, Chouk Bwa & The Ångströmers in music clubs 4AD, N9 and Villa Anamma.
