Whispering Sons suddenly got famous when they won Humo’s Rock Rally with great unanimity of the judges. Post punk from Limburg, shortly put, “eighties and intens”(Poppunt). Or, a bit longer: “ dark, rugged, sleek, and without compromises”( Frontview). Influences are Joy Division, The Horrors, Soft Moon en” Editors before they aimed at large arenas”.
EP 'Endless Party' already came out at the end of 2015; in the meantime a double single ('Strange Identities' / 'Performance', 2016) and a limited 7 "('White Noise', 2017) have been followed and for their concert with us they have a very good reason: their debut album is coming!
★ MUGWUMP ★
For more than two decades MUGWUMP has been active as a DJ and producer, with releases on Kompakt, Permanent Vacation and R & S. His musical influences are very diverse and range from 80's pop, indie, noise & post-punk to EBM, dub, film scores, industrial, new-beat, disco & techno.

His debut album 'Unspell' from 2015 received favorable reactions from various angles. Pitchfork wrote: "There's a vintage feel in both sound and rhythm, but something about it is so goddamned urgent and huge that it's just sounds, well, timeless." At the end of May 2018, Mugwump drops successor Drape (Subfield / V2). Many more guitars, less electronics this time, but as always: They rock. Live as well.
