Marie came to Europe as a refugee and built a modest life in a sleepy southern French mountain town. She works as a cook in a retirement home, but is very reserved towards her colleagues and the residents. After all, she silently struggles with a post-traumatic stress syndrome, caused by her past as a child soldier. When the African priest Patrick volunteers at the home, her colleagues immediately fall in love with the charming man. But Marie recognizes him from her childhood. Should she take revenge or move on with her new life?
