Acoustic Evenings . Folk Songwriting

In this workshop, the focus is on creating original material for songwriters and musicians who want to deepen their understanding of writing their own songs within the folk style. We will work with free writing exercises and explore typical songwriting clichés and how to approach them in a fresh and innovative way.

Montreal-born singer and banjo player Kaia Kater has already received critical acclaim in her young career from NPR's Tiny Desk, The Guardian, Rolling Stone, and No Depression. Through her artistic banjo playing and lush songwriting, Kaia draws from influences rooted in Quebec, the Caribbean, and the Appalachian region.
