GREEK TRADITIONAL MUSIC

During this workshop, we will explore traditional repertoires from various regions of Greece: Crete, Lesbos, Peloponnese, Athens, Alexandroupolis, Macedonia, and more.

Both vocal songs and instrumental music (dances, etc.) will be covered.

We will delve deeper into the used modes (scales), various compound time signatures (7/8, 9/8, etc.), rhythmic and harmonic accompaniment, and more.

You will also receive extensive background information about the repertoire.

To fully immerse yourself in the right 'feel', it is highly recommended to try out the different dances yourself!

This workshop is open to all levels and all instruments.
