This seminar aims to introduce North Indian Classical Music by combining theoretical and practical learning methods. The essential elements of North Indian Classical Music are presented, ranging from Swara (note) and Laya (tempo) to the concepts of Raga (melodic framework) and Tala (rhythmic framework). By the end of the seminar, the participant will be able to sing/play simple scales and patterns and will be ready to explore and practice more advanced concepts of composition, development, and performance.

Vidushi Kala Ramnath, renowned for her 'Singing Violin,' is a globally acclaimed instrumentalist with an impressive track record, including contributions to Grammy-nominated projects and Hollywood soundtracks.
