This seminar aims to introduce North Indian Classical Music by combining theoretical and practical learning methods. The essential elements of North Indian Classical Music are presented, ranging from Swara (note) and Laya (tempo) to the concepts of Raga (melodic framework) and Tala (rhythmic framework). By the end of the seminar, the participant will be able to sing/play simple scales and patterns and will be ready to explore and practice more advanced concepts of composition, development, and performance.

Vidushi Kala Ramnath, renowned for her 'Singing Violin,' is a globally acclaimed instrumentalist with an impressive track record, including contributions to Grammy-nominated projects and Hollywood soundtracks. Born into a musical family, Kala developed her unique violin style under the guidance of various masters such as Pandit Jasraj. Her virtuosity has brought her to the most prestigious stages in India, and she has been honored with awards such as the Sangeet Natak Academy Puraskar. In addition to her musical successes, Kala is committed to enriching the lives of underprivileged children through her foundation, 'Kalashree'.

The seminars take place from April 1 to April 4 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a lunch break from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
