
Marwan Makhoul
Marwan Makhoul, born in 1979 in al-Boquai’a, Upper Galilee, is a Palestinian poet with a Palestinian father and Lebanese mother. His play 'This Isn't Noah's Ark' earned him the Best Playwright award at the 2009 Acre Theatre Festival. His award-winning poetry has gained global attention. Some of his poems have been set to music and translated into English, Turkish, Italian, German, French, Hebrew, Irish, Serbian, Hindi, Polish, Dutch, Albanian, and Macedonian.
Oumeima el Khalil
Oumeima el Khalil, a prominent Lebanese singer, passionately shares her culture through music globally. Born in Al Fakiha, Beqaa, she started singing at 7 and caught the attention of musician Marcel Khalifeh. Despite Lebanon's civil war, she persevered, performing with Khalifeh's band "Al Mayadin." Her remarkable talent led her to international stages, collaborating on albums with Khalifeh. Oumeima released solo albums and continues her worldwide musical journey. In 2019, she launched a solo album titled "SAWT" with the participation of the international "Fayha Choir," featuring music composed by Marcel Khalifeh and arranged by Edward Torikian.
