Les Goûts de Gand 2025: Global Music and Flavors in the Macharius District
On Saturday, May 17, 2025, it’s time again for Les Goûts de Gand in the Gent Macharius district! This beloved free music festival offers a unique blend of culinary and musical discoveries that reflect the global diversity of Ghent.
In and around Coyendanspark, visitors can enjoy delicious food and drinks starting from 1 PM, and browse stalls from local associations. The park will once again be transformed into a Feria Mundial, a lively market where you can taste the many flavors the city has to offer.
Musically, it promises to be another special edition. In addition to the familiar Afro-Latin Area and DJ sets from DJ Pacha, there will be a diverse lineup including the party band Turkish Kebap from Brussels. Also, don’t miss the unique musical encounter with Aboubakar Traoré (Burkina Faso/Mali) and the swinging Sahad (Senegal). Sahad blends West African “blues” à la Ali Farka Touré with afrobeat, rock, reggae, funk, and jazz for an unforgettable experience.
Please note: Due to exceptional circumstances, there will be no concerts held at the Sint-Baafsabdij this year.
Be sure to join us on May 17 and discover the rich culture of Ghent on this special day full of music, food, and fun!
