Artvark Saxophone Quartet ft. Dilek & Derya Türkan

The Artvark Saxophone Quartet and the ensemble surrounding Turkish singer Dilek Türkan and kemençe master Derya Türkan present a unique encounter between the musical traditions of the Balkans and Istanbul. Traditional melodies are reimagined in a contemporary setting where jazz improvisation, classical Turkish music, and Balkan influences blend seamlessly. The warm sounds of the kemençe, qanun, percussion, and saxophones create a rich and colorful sonic landscape filled with emotion, contrast, and imagination.

With Dilek Türkan, this project welcomes one of the most renowned and beloved performers of the classical Turkish vocal tradition. Her warm voice, musical refinement, and expressive interpretations bring a remarkable depth to every song. Derya Türkan is internationally recognized as the master of the Istanbul kemençe.
