Anatolian voices blending folk, indie and electro
Three artists with roots in the Turkish musical tradition demonstrate just how versatile and contemporary it sounds today. The Berlin-based singer-songwriter Nilipek combines her understated indie-folk with personal stories, whilst the Brussels-based band Turkish Kebap fuses Anatolian folk, psychedelic rock and 1970s influences with a fresh, urban energy.
Closing the line-up, Cem Yildiz presents his own blend of Anatolian folk and electronic grooves. With live improvisation, hypnotic rhythms and an open-minded approach to tradition and innovation, he turns every concert into a unique experience. A triple bill that bridges the gap between heritage, experimentation and the sound of today.
