First festival in Ghent of innovating (Afro)Latin and Southern-European music

The most innovating cross-over party music comes blowing in from the South! And furthermore it is Belgian. Rumbaristas is a new band around resounding artists from the renowned Spanish band Amparanoia, and the Belgian pride Orchestre International du Vetex and Think Of One. Rumbaristas represents the Mestizo from southern Europe: underground cross-over on a rumba catalana base, inspired by Balkan and Sicilian rhythms.
The South-American rhythms come from La Chiva Gantiva,  the most important Belgian band within the innovating Afro-Latin music, who in the cosmopolitan Brussels merges Afro-Colombian rhythms with hyper contagious funky rock and sturdy rap. The band is just as divers in composition as it is in musical weaving, with musicians from Colombia, Belgium, Vietnam, Chile.
The party treats us with  afro grooves, tropical bass and other party tunes from the swirling musical hotbeds of this world, the food on comida latina, and a film and dance workshop lead the evening with the necessary background information.
