With the project "Farnoosh & Friends", you get a surprising glimpse into the life, work, and soul of Iranian daf player Farnoosh Khodadadeh. Through the music, songs, and stories that shape her life, you get to know her like never before.

A musician at heart with a voice that dreams are made of. A dedicated nurse in intensive care. A passionate mountain climber, nature lover, and birdwatcher. An intense Iranian soul who followed love to Belgium and made Ghent her new home.

All of that and so much more is Farnoosh Khodadadeh. An exceptional woman who will musically tell her equally extraordinary life story at De Centrale.

From the horrors of war she experienced as a child to the healing power of love and music; from the shards of bombings to the steadfast tranquility of high mountains; from her mother's voice to her father's record collection: Farnoosh takes you into her world and tells, sings, and plays about love and violence, sorrow and hope, farewell and homecoming, with rhythms and melodies as medicine.

On the stage of De Centrale, Farnoosh is accompanied by her musical companions Lieselot De Wilde, Berlinde Deman, and Shahab Azinmehr. Together, they embark on a captivating and heartwarming musical journey, and we get to join them!
