At the end of 2008 Fresku released the song 'Brief Aan Kees', addressed to record executive Kees de Koning, which resulted in a contract with Top Notch in 2009. A year later, his debut album 'Fresku' was released, followed by the album 'Maskerade', which was released in 2012. Both albums were voted best album at the State Awards. Later, 'Never Back' and 'Juice' followed, a joint project with Mocromaniac. Because Fresku felt that he could not get everything through music, he started working as a comedian in 'Welkom bij de Fresku Show'.
In 2021 Fresku left the Top Notch stable to start his own label 'Baranka Music'. His album 'In De Lucht (Part 1)' was subsequently released in October. On this latest project, Fresku proves that after more than 13 years in the game, he continues to evolve as an artist and continues to manage to remain relevant and critical in today's hip-hop ecosystem.
