KYRIAKOS GOUVENTAS TRIO ft. Kaiti Koullia

Master violinist Kyriakos Gouventas is an all-round musician and a valued member of the 'Thessaloniki Ensemble of Traditional Music' and of Savina Yannatou's 'Primavera en Salonico'. In addition, he frequently performs as a guest musician with other popular Greek singers and musicians. He is (co-)founder of "Estoudiantina", an ensemble that has a solid reputation in Greek folk music, especially in the performance of the Asian Minority musical heritage. Kyriakos is also known for his extensive rebetika repertoire.

Kyriakos Gouventas is a welcome guest in De Centrale and has been a guest here several times. For this concert he shares the stage with singer Kaiti Koullia and lute player Vasilis Smanis. The trio brings a beautiful anthology of the musical traditions of the Aegean.
