KYRIAKOS GOUVENTAS TRIO + KAITI KOULLIA

Master violinist Kyriakos Gouventas is an all-round musician and a valued member of the Thessaloniki Ensemble of Traditional Music and Savina Yannatou's Primavera en Salonico. In addition, he frequently performs as a guest musician with other popular Greek singers and musicians. He is (co-)founder of "Estoudiantina", an ensemble that has a solid reputation in Greek folk music, especially in the performance of Asian Minority musical heritage. Kyriakos is also known for his extensive rebetika repertoire.

Kyriakos Gouventas  is a welcome guest in De Centrale and has been a guest here several times. For this concert he shares the stage with singer Kaiti Koullia and lute player Vasilis Smanis. The trio brings a beautiful anthology of the musical traditions of the Aegean.

Kaiti Koullia comes from Kalymnos, one of the Dodecanese Islands. She has collaborated with well-known artists such as Yanis Voglis, Mariza Koch, Chronis Aidonidis, George Dalaras, Dimitra Galani, Lavrendis Mahairisas, Glykeria, Savinna Yanatou, Pandelis Thalassinos, Christos Tsiamoulis, Orfeas Peridis and many others.
