Musical centipede Luiz Marquez brings, together with the Ensemble Curanderos a mystical and spiritual programme full of ancient Aztec music, poetry and dance from Mexico.

The Ensemble Curanderos borrows its name from the traditional Mexican Medican men or Chaman who, through magic, spiritualism, herbs and hallucinogene plants,treated all sorts of illnesses and diseases and that way tried to mislead Death… which sadly did not allways seemed to work out…or does it???

This concert is organized i.c.w. de Buren van de Abdij, in the context of the 3-day arts project "Living and / or Death, Meeting Polarities" that takes place on 28, 29 and 30 September in the Sint-Baafsabdij.
