For more than 750 years, the literary works of the Persian poet and Sufi mystic Jalal ad-Din Rumi have continued to resonate. Much of his insight came through his encounter with his mentor Shams-e Tabrizi. Thanks in part to that relationship, Rumi developed into a masterful writer. Known as the Shakespeare of the Arab world, his poems still captivate the imagination today. He touches on contemporary themes such as migration, mental health, and tolerance.
The ensemble, led by Osama Abdulrasol, draws on Rumi's life journey and his special bond with Shams-e Tabrizi for this all-encompassing spectacle, combined with unique staging, music, choreography, and poetry.
We bring Rumi closer to the audience, allowing them to (re)discover his work and inner revolution. We do this through a total experience of music, dance, poetry, and new compositions. Iraqi-Belgian composer Osama Abdulrasol is the driving force behind this concept and has assembled a musical ensemble. Supported by a high-quality artistic team, the collective brings Rumi's journey to life. In a world full of challenges, we offer a moment of reflection and togetherness, where love is the common thread that connects us all.
