PRAGANA & THE SUPER GINGA

Pragana & The Super Ginga is a dynamic Brazilian music collective based in Belgium, led by singer, guitarist, and composer Marcel Pragana, straight from the heart of Rio de Janeiro. Formed in 2020 after Marcel’s arrival in Belgium, the collective began with the first original compositions co-written with Cesar Colpas and has since grown into a vibrant band celebrated for its powerful fusion of Brazilian rhythms with influences from rock, funk, jazz, and beyond.

The group blends Marcel’s original songs with fresh interpretations of samba and Música Popular Brasileira classics, creating a joyful, dance-filled atmosphere wherever they perform. Each musician brings their own regional roots and rhythms from different corners of Brazil, shaping a rich musical journey through samba, forró, and other Brazilian traditions — a sound often reminiscent of Carnaval’s energy and warmth.
