Savina Yannatou & Primavera en Salonico

"Addio Amoreā€ - Love and Loss in the Mediterranean

It is almost day to day 11 years ago that Savina Yannatou performed at De Centrale. Together with her group 'Primavera and Salonico', Savina Yannatou brings music without borders or labels, based on traditional songs from the Mediterranean region, more specifically from Thessaloniki (sometimes called the Jerusalem of the Balkans), a melting pot from Greeks, Jews , Turks, Bulgarians, Serbs, Armenians and (Pontic) Greeks. They performed in all corners of the world and recorded 8 albums in the meantime.
Music without boundaries or labels, from simple folk songs to contemporary more 'artistic' music forms, along with a lot of their own songs. On their acoustic instruments - half of which come from the East - they scan the musical boundaries, with Savina's expressive voice often being used as an extra instrument.
On 14 February 2019 - the feast  of St. Valentine - she presents a special program in De Centrale with love songs from the Mediterranean.
