USAF#04

An exceptional Sorry, Not Sorry-edition (*) of USAF 2016 guarantees a varied youth program, both indoor as outdoor, and this time fully dedicated to ‘street art’. In the line up a lot of dance schools, breakdance 4vs4 battle, beatbox battle, workshops, demonstrations, show moments and creative youth programs. Furthermore, this edition sees a collaboration programmed with End of the week , who give the preselection of their MC battle in De Centrale.

(*) Sorry, not sorry allows the 192 days of street art to turn into a real festival on May 7 & 8. Beside the already realized graffiti walls and artworks Sorry, not sorry wants to use this festival to get the general public acquainted with street art in all its possible manifestations. Saturday 7 and Sunday 8th of May the neighbourhood in and around De Centale will be the beating heart and the meeting point of the festival. On Saturday it is USAF(Urban Sport and Art Festival) ‘s turn and on Sunday Danspunt with who’s the boss. Outside, around De Centrale there is a lot to do. A visual arts course curated by Ben Benaouisse in cooperation with different galleries from Ghent and off-spaces, a spectacular print-event DRUKOPSTRAAT by Topcopy, dance battles, DJ’s, urban running and sports, skateboarden, different performances, a street art tour with a guide, an Art Book Fair at 019 on Dok Noord with a  graffiti-jam in the gravel traps, arthappenings with the skate and graffiti artists of Kapow, as well as different workshops for the  entire family, going from workshops hip hop, food and other graffiti, guerilla gardening,serigraphing with graffiti artists and inktopus, Sens Unique, an art trail in the Dampoortstraat of Wisper vzw and Graffiti vzw  etc.,…
