The literary legacy of the Persian poet and Sufi mystic Jalal ad-Din Rumi has endured for more than 750 years. Inspired by his mentor Shams-e Tabrizi, Rumi became the ‘Shakespeare of the Arab world,’ with poetry that still resonates today on contemporary themes like migration, mental health, and tolerance.
Led by Iraqi-Belgian composer Osama Abdulrasol, an ensemble brings Rumi’s life story to the stage. This unique performance blends music, dance, poetry, and choreography into an immersive experience that invites the audience to reflect and connect. With Abdulrasol on qanun and oud, and an international team of musicians and artists, this project creates a moment of togetherness, with love as the central thread running through the story.
