Medieval poetry on the eve of the Flemish holiday!

In Hoort mi aen, medieval texts meet contemporary sounds. Inspired by the Gruuthuse Manuscript, powerful spoken word pieces enter into dialogue with music that blends medieval, Arabic, and Brazilian influences.

Damast Duo – expanded to a quartet for this occasion – weaves a rich musical tapestry where past and present intertwine.

The result is an evocative performance on July 10 in the atmospheric St. Jacob’s Church in Ghent, as part of ‘Flanders Celebrates!’.
