ALL EYES ON SUDAN

Stories from Sudan – between war, hope and cultural richness

On October 4, the Neighbours of the Abbey, together with Amnesty Flanders, De Centrale and other partners, invite you to a special day in and around the Saint Bavo’s Abbey. Each year, a Ghent-based diaspora takes center stage – this time, we turn our attention to Sudan.

Alongside a musical introduction by the Sudanese ensemble led by Ebo Krdum, we’ll engage in conversation with speakers who closely follow the situation in Sudan. Behind the country’s rich culture lies a painful reality: a war that claims many lives but receives little attention.

A day of encounter, music, dialogue and solidarity. Everyone is welcome!
