POETRY RENDEZ-VOUS (100%MAROC)

In the series Poetry rendez-vous  the Ghent poetry centre  each month receives a remarkable poet that talks about his / her work and reads from it. A perfect occasion to meet the most exciting poets of this moment. On the occasion of 100% Maroc, Mustafa Stitou is our guest on the cosy attic of the poetry centre. Mustafa Sitou was born in Tetouan in 1974 and grew up in Lelystad. He lives and works in Amsterdam, where he was the city’s poet during a year in 2009.

Poetry rendez-vous is an accessible, free poetry programme that takes place every month during lunch break in the poetry center. Under the old roof of Het Toreken, a poet talks about his/her oeuvre and poet hood. He/she is reading in the meantime and answering questions from the audience. Poetry rendez-vous is an exquisite chance to get to know a poet up close in  a nice and intimate atmosphere.
