Dodan Özer is regarded as one of Turkey's leading music innovators. On his third album he interprets Turkish and Kurdish traditional classics and anonymous songs in contemporary way. His vocals are powerful and full and his style is hypnotic.
Dodan masters the art of improvisation like no other and his timing, intonation and interpretation produce a special voice. With his enchanting voice and his music, he knows how to move the listeners time and again.
In 2019 he played the role of Mario Cavaradossi in the opera Tosca at Theater RAST in the Netherlands with great success.  'De Theaterkrant' wrote the following about Dodan: “Actually, this opera could also be called Cavaradossi, because Özer sings like a charm”. For the well-known Turkish TV series Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz he sang penetrating songs with traditional and Western influences.
Dodan connects all ages and all genres in Turkish and Kurdish music with his voice. His artistic interpretation of classical folk and pop music turned the Turkish music world upside down in one fell swoop.
