On December 12, Ahmed Aboutaleb, former mayor of Rotterdam, will come to Ghent for a special evening of conversation. His recently published memoir Home will serve as the starting point, but the discussion will go further.

The Benefit Meal for the victims of the natural disasters in Morocco and Libya raised €3,911.64. This amount will be transferred to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.  We want to thank all participants for their support.

From mid-December, we will be livestreaming concerts to the public's home. This way you can also enjoy the best live shows in your own living room, making it again a very little "Welcome @ De Centrale"!

During recent sampling in the intercultural center De Centrale in Ghent the presence of asbestos has been identified in the old technical basements. An air measurement is performed tomorrow morning by an external specialized firm. Once the results of this measurement are known, the City of Ghent will take all appropriate measures. As a precaution all of the activities in De Centrale are suspended/canceled until Monday, June 13th. This means that both public and staff no longer have access to the building until then.
